Michael Crowe - MAN and GUS

Michael grew up in South City St. Louis where his father is a retired Sergeant for the SLPD and his mother has led parish music since he was a toddler. Though music was always a large part of his life, Michael never considered singing or theater until after graduating from Mizzou when he was invited by his little sister to join the Fr. Bill Scheid Players. With this group, Michael performed as the lead in the School Board Barbershop Quartet in The Music Man as well as Earthquake McGoon in Li’l Abner. Michael also sang with the St. Louis Metro Singers under the direction of Kevin McBeth, a mentor to whom Michael credits a majority of his understanding of vocal performance. Since moving back to mid-Missouri, Michael has had the opportunity to perform with the Turner Hall River Rats (Love Notes Productions 2009-2014) as well as Actors of Faith (Unit 602 and I Am Not My Father). Michael currently resides in Columbia with his wife and two children. He is grateful for the chance to join this production of Gumbo Bottoms and looks forward to continuing to grow as a musician and actor.
